About The Position
We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to support our child and adolescent unit, which provides care for patients aged 5-18 experiencing acute mental health crises. The focus of this unit is on stabilization through comprehensive group offerings, including Activities Therapy, Mindfulness, Wellness, and Coping Skills groups, along with psychopharmacological interventions.
Requirements
- Valid New York State RN License.
- Minimum of two years of pediatric mental health experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Nice To Haves
- Certified in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) preferred.
- Experience in a large academic medical center is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve patient goals.
- Provide safe, effective, and therapeutic care to ensure patient well-being.
- Participate in group offerings to support patient stabilization.
- Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.
