About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking experienced nurses to join its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Ball Memorial in Muncie, Indiana. The adult unit has 18 beds and provides care for patients transitioning between progressive and medical levels of care. Common diagnoses include pulmonary edema, respiratory failure, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, chronic ventilator-supported respiratory conditions, and renal failure. The unit uses the Team-Based Acuity Adaptable Model (TBAAM) and an interdisciplinary team that includes nurses, patient care assistants, a unit secretary, an RN case manager, a geographically placed physician, a pharmacist, and a dietician. The PCU offers a diverse clinical learning environment and invests in the education, growth, and development of nursing team members. Its culture emphasizes collaboration, mutual support, quality outcomes, and helping staff pursue professional goals. Through its Unit-Based Council, the team also participates in community service projects.
