About The Position

We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our fast-paced unit specializing in adult and geriatric patient care. The successful candidates will possess strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and a positive attitude to foster a collaborative work environment. The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 35-bed unit that commonly treats patients with cardiac issues, nephrology, strokes, diabetes mellitus, and those requiring continuous EEG monitoring. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4-5.

Requirements

• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Valid driver's license (required for verification of residence outside a specified radius)
• Passing a skills exam during orientation is mandatory for employment retention.
• Demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
• Strong commitment to patient care.

• Previous experience in a similar healthcare environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adults and geriatric patients in a progressive care setting.
• Titrate and manage intravenous drips, including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications.
• Collaborate with a charge nurse and support staff, including nurse aides or patient care techs.
• Maintain a positive attitude and foster teamwork to enhance patient care.
• Adhere to strict infection control policies.
