About The Position
Horizon Surgery Center Beaches, located on the campus of Baptist Medical Center, is a physician-led ambulatory surgery center dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered outpatient care. The facility features three active operating rooms specializing in Orthopedic Hand, General Surgery, and Neuro-Spine procedures. In partnership with Compass Surgical Partners, this collaboration fosters a culture where both patients and staff can thrive. This position is open due to continued growth.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current Florida RN license (unencumbered)
- At least 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3–5 years)
- Current BLS (ACLS required within 6 months)
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN)
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery
- Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols
- Support patient education and post-op instructions
