About The Position

Saint Luke’s East in Lee's Summit is seeking a PRN Pre-OP/PACU RN to join its Perianesthesia team. The role provides pre-operative and post-operative care to patients undergoing procedures in the Main OR and hospital-based GI suites. The team is collaborative and customer-focused, with patient experience as a top priority. The position is listed as full time, day shift, and takes call with a 30-minute call response time requirement.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of applicable experience.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Registered Nurse (MO) credential through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
• Associate degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for inpatient and outpatient procedures.
• Utilize the nursing process.
• Perform patient care, delegate patient care tasks, and supervise other patient care staff.
• Coordinate the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consult with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate proficiency and abide by policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
