About The Position

Wills Eye Hospital is hiring a Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse in Philadelphia, PA at the Wills Eye Surgery Center - Philadelphia Stadium Campus . In this role, you’ll provide safe, patient-centered nursing care, apply clinical judgment, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes. You’ll manage patient care activities, clinical assessments, treatments, coordination of services , and contribute to a positive patient experience. Requirements

  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required .
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required .
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support ( PALS ) required .
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of Pennsylvania required.
  • One year of clinical experience is required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred .
  • Three years of clinical experience is preferred .

Responsibilities

  • Possesses knowledge of and the ability to perform duties in accordance with established standards for all Nursing practices as set forth in the Hospital policies.
  • Keeps proficient and is knowledgeable of patient’s needs, techniques, and requirements at all times .
  • Assesses the learning needs of patients/significant other(s ), and has knowledge of normal growth and development stages.
  • Cares for specimens and cultures in accordance with Hospital policies and best practices.
  • Possesses knowledge of anesthetic agents, techniques, actions and interactions to include patients of all ages.
