About The Position

This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients in accordance with established Federal, State, and accreditation standards, as well as ASC policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the quality of nursing services provided by themselves and others under their direction, participating in direct patient care and maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment. Successful candidates will demonstrate critical thinking skills, making sound nursing judgments based on nursing theory, and exhibiting primary nursing accountability through coordination, communication, and continuity of patient care. The role requires the ability to assess, prioritize, plan, and implement direct patient care effectively. Interpersonal skills are crucial, including a positive, friendly, and courteous manner, effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and staff, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team while balancing individual responsibilities. The nurse must recognize the significance of each department and work appropriately with others, possess good oral and written communication skills, and comply with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities also include performing duties ethically and legally within the scope of their Oklahoma license, maintaining accurate and legible medical records, adhering to work schedules, managing time effectively and cost-efficiently, and responding to emergent situations. Participation in continuing education/in-service training and staff meetings is expected. The role requires the ability to work independently and within a group, follow physician orders and management directions, actively contribute to a healthy work environment, and assist in training new staff when needed. Punctuality and minimal absences are also performance expectations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
  • Current RN License
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Previous nursing experience in at least one of the following settings: ambulatory surgical center (ASC), PACU, ICU, Medical Surgical or Telemetry floors
  • Ability to provide proof of their identity and their right to work in the United States
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Knowledge of printer, copier, telephone, and fax operation
  • Knowledge of patient monitoring and emergency equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing
  • Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
