Registered Nurse Pre Op PACU PAT
About The Position
Saint Thomas Surgicare is a dynamic, fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center dedicated to delivering exceptional quality care and an outstanding experience for patients and their families. The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family-centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. Conduct thorough pre-admission assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op/PACU reports to the Manager of Perioperative Services. Experienced in supporting in the following specialties: Orthopedics, GI, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Urology.
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with previous PAT, LPN experience.
- Must have current BLS certification
- Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
