About The Position
Registered Nurse in the Postpartum unit, responsible for providing care for postpartum and low-risk antepartum patients. The role includes breastfeeding assistance, newborn care, and supporting mothers during the postpartum period.
Requirements
- 1 year of Mother-Baby/Postpartum experience and at least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- BLS and NRP certifications
- Newborn lab and phlebotomy skills and IV skills (adult)
Nice To Haves
- EFM preferred
Responsibilities
- Breastfeeding assistance
- Newborn care, including vital signs, thermoregulation, managing hypoglycemia, bilirubin levels, and NAS babies
- Ability to independently care for 3-4 couplets and provide discharge teaching
- Perform thorough assessments and reassessments for both mothers and babies
