About The Position

The Registered Nurse - Post Anesthesia works in the PACU at Northside Midtown Surgery Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The role supports post-anesthesia care for patients undergoing orthopedic, plastic, general, colorectal, and gynecologic procedures. Candidates must have at least two years of experience in the specialty and current AHA BLS certification. Applicants who live within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible. The schedule is 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday. Holiday coverage is required as specified below.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience within the specialty.
• AHA BLS certification.
• Must work 2 major holidays of the 3 listed: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day.
• Must work 1 minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates within 50 miles.
• Submit a badge photo.
• Complete compliance requirements by the Wednesday before a Monday start.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care in the PACU.
• Support care for orthopedic, plastic, general, colorectal, and gynecologic cases.
• Work the required holiday schedule: two of Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day, plus one of the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve.
