About The Position
The Nursing Assistant in Post Anesthesia Care supports the delivery of high-quality, compassionate patient care at Union Health. The role involves assisting patients and co-workers, safely transporting patients, supporting procedures, and helping maintain patient comfort and a clean care environment. The Nursing Assistant consults with the Charge Nurse, maintains confidentiality, follows care principles and hospital policies, and completes assigned duties. Evening-shift availability and participation in a weekend call rotation are required.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- BLS required.
- Availability to work evening shift, with weekend call rotation.
- Understanding of medical/surgical aseptic techniques, infection control, and lines of communication and authority.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience as a surgical assistant is highly desired.
