This is made possible by being home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI), one of the most-advanced medical simulation training centers in the world. When hospitals cannot provide the advanced care, expertise and new treatment options their patients require, they turn to us. Position includes recovering patients from anesthesia as well as managing postoperative care, including recovery from general anesthesia, regional anesthesia and IV sedation. We are a 28 bed PACU, providing service to a variety of surgical services, such as general surgery, urology, gynecology, neurosurgery including spine surgery, plastic surgery, thoracic and vascular surgery, cardiac procedures (TAVR), bariatric surgery, colorectal surgery, ENT and OMF surgery. Also included is managing the recovery of GI advanced procedure patients as well as outpatient colonoscopy and endoscopy patients. We are a fast paced unit receiving patients from 40+ operating rooms and we provide service 24/7. We are looking for candidates with a positive outlook, an open mind and a “can-do” attitude.

Requirements

  • Current Connecticut RN License
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire
  • ACLS required for external candidates

Nice To Haves

  • ICU experience is preferred
  • BSN Preferred
