About The Position
This is a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) travel nursing assignment at a major hospital main campus. The role requires specialized pediatric critical care experience, including epilepsy monitoring and care of patients from infancy through 25 years of age.
Requirements
- Experience with EKG rhythm recognition
- Experience with inotropes
- AHA or facility-accepted BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Ohio RN License or Compact State license in hand required
- COVID-19 vaccination required (Medical/Religious exemptions only)
- Flu vaccination required (Medical/Religious exemptions only)
- Minimum 18 months of permanent (staff) experience in the specialty applying for, prior to travel assignments
- Minimum 18 months of recent Pediatric experience (travel experience will suffice)
- Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Nice To Haves
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized critical care nursing in the PICU setting
- Perform epilepsy monitoring and specialized care for patients of all ages up to 25 years
- Work at least every other holiday as required by the facility
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation; an acceptable score on both assessments is required
- Submit hours worked through Qualivis – Lotus
