About The Position

This is a PICU travel nursing assignment at a Main Campus Hospital. It is a Night Shift position requiring specialized pediatric critical care experience. The traveler must work at least every other holiday.

Requirements

Experience with inotropes
EKG/ECG rhythm recognition
Ability to achieve acceptable scores on ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
Ohio RN License (permanent) required, OR Compact State RN License in hand — required at time of submission
AHA or client-approved BLS (Basic Life Support) certification — required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification — required
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification — required
Minimum 18 months of permanent (staff) experience in the specialty being applied for, prior to any travel assignments
Minimum 18 months of recent Pediatric experience (travel experience will suffice)
Experience in epilepsy monitoring and specialized care of pediatric patients up to 25 years of age
COVID-19 vaccination required (Medical/Religious Exemptions only)
Flu vaccination required (Medical/Religious Exemptions only)

Nice To Haves

NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred

Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for pediatric patients of all ages up to 25 years in the PICU setting.
Perform epilepsy monitoring and related specialized patient care.
Perform ECG rhythm recognition (assessment test completed during orientation; an acceptable score is required).
Complete safeMedicate assessment during orientation; an acceptable score is required.
Submit hours worked via Qualivis – Lotus.
Work at least every other holiday as required.
