About The Position

Indiana Heart Physicians (IHP) is seeking a Registered Nurse for a PRN Phone Triage position. This role is for a person who thrives in a fast-paced, busy environment, is able to efficiently answer calls, listen, and determine the best course of action, and can manage voicemails and in-baskets to ensure each patient is helped pleasantly and properly. IHP has been delivering leading cardiovascular care since 1978, offering comprehensive services through board-certified cardiologists across multidisciplinary clinics. Requirements

• Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
• 1 year Nursing/Patient Care in acute care or ambulatory settings
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient calls and electronic messages, prioritize concerns based on clinical urgency, provide education within scope of practice, and ensure timely resolution of patient needs
• Facilitate care coordination by scheduling appropriate appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, processing prescription refills, and supporting continuity of care across the patient journey
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient communications, clinical assessments, and care interventions in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards
