About The Position
Indiana Heart Physicians (IHP) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Phone Triage to join their busy Cardiology practice. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, efficiently handles calls, and determines the best course of action for patients. Requirements
- Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
- 1 year Nursing/Patient Care in acute care or ambulatory settings
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
Responsibilities
- Respond to patient calls and electronic messages, prioritize concerns based on clinical urgency, provide education within scope of practice, and ensure timely resolution of patient needs
- Facilitate care coordination by scheduling appropriate appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, processing prescription refills, and supporting continuity of care across the patient journey
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient communications, clinical assessments, and care interventions in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards
