About The Position
The RN Phone Triage is a person who thrives in a fast-paced, busy environment. This role requires the ability to efficiently answer calls, listen, and determine the best course of action throughout the day. The individual will manage voicemails and the in-basket to ensure each patient is assisted pleasantly and properly. Indiana Heart Physicians (IHP) has been delivering leading cardiovascular care since 1978, offering comprehensive services through board-certified cardiologists across multidisciplinary clinics. IHP provides advanced cardiac imaging and participates in research and clinical trials. Requirements
- Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
- 1 year Nursing/Patient Care in acute care or ambulatory settings
Responsibilities
- Respond to patient calls and electronic messages, prioritize concerns based on clinical urgency, provide education within scope of practice, and ensure timely resolution of patient needs
- Facilitate care coordination by scheduling appropriate appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, processing prescription refills, and supporting continuity of care across the patient journey
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient communications, clinical assessments, and care interventions in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards
