Registered Nurse - Pediatrics
About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring a pediatric Registered Nurse to provide compassionate nursing care in clients’ homes. The role supports clients’ health, safety, comfort, and well-being and involves administering ordered medications and treatments, assessing and monitoring client conditions, coordinating care with healthcare professionals, and maintaining clinical documentation. The position offers PRN and part-time opportunities, with the potential for full-time hours. Scheduling is flexible and coordinated with a scheduler; shifts may be days, evenings, or overnights, with flexible shift lengths. Pay is $40–$44 per hour, paid weekly.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota, or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Previous LPN/RN experience required: 1,000 hours worked.
- One year of pediatrics experience.
- Current CPR certification required; on-site CPR certification is available for qualified candidates.
- Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards.
- Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and support clients’ health, safety, comfort, and well-being.
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders, Interim policies, and applicable regulations.
- Assess clients’ conditions and monitor changes in health status.
- Monitor and document vital signs and other relevant clinical observations.
- Collaborate with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and facility staff to coordinate client care.
- Respond to changes in client conditions and communicate concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
