About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Stepdown team. The unit specializes in post-operative care for patients undergoing urological and bariatric surgeries, as well as managing various post-surgical conditions. The Surgical Stepdown unit comprises 28 beds and provides care for patients recovering from various surgical procedures, including bariatric and urological surgeries, as well as managing post-operative complications such as infections, GI diseases, and surgical interventions. Our team is committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care through clinical expertise and collaborative teamwork. We value each team member's input in identifying risks and improving patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid KS or multistate nursing license.
- Minimum of 1-year progressive care/step down experience required.
- AHA BLS required at time of submission.
- ADN or BSN required.
Nice To Haves
- Immunity status documentation for Hep B, MMR, Varicella, TDaP, Influenza, and TB.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to post-surgical patients.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, ensuring optimal recovery.

- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery.
