About The Position

This role focuses on managing and monitoring telemetry and critically ill patients with acute conditions. Responsibilities include administering cardiac medications, managing vasoactive drips, assisting with newly implanted devices, conducting frequent assessments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The position also involves coordinating unit workflow, delegating tasks, and serving as a clinical resource.

Requirements

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 18 months of acute care RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 1 year of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or MSN is highly preferred.
• Experience in telemetry, acute stroke, or cardiac care is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor telemetry and critically ill patients with acute conditions, including heart failure, myocardial infarctions, acute strokes, and post-ablation or catheterization recovery.
• Administer cardiac medications, manage vasoactive drips, and assist with newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators.
• Conduct frequent, in-depth physical and neurological assessments.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, physical therapists, and discharge planners, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Coordinate unit workflow, delegate tasks effectively to Patient Care Techs (PCTs), and act as a clinical resource for staff development.
