About The Position
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Registered Nurses – Paediatrics and Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NCCU) to join our casual pool. Based at our Springfield campus, these roles are part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield, which opened in early 2026. This state-of-the-art facility meets the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, maternity, emergency, medical and surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually. Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus 25% casual loading plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions) and minimum 12 months postgraduate experience
- Demonstrated nursing experience in paediatrics and/or NCCU
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills
- Strong focus on family-centred care and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous learning, quality improvement and best practice principles
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to paediatric and/or neonatal patients
- Promote safety, security and integrity for patients and staff
- Adhere to infection control policies and maintain confidentiality
- Engage in activities to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction
