About The Position

This role involves delivering specialized, high-quality direct nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring a safe and stable transition in the immediate post-operative period. The nurse will monitor patient responses to all treatments and interventions, quickly identifying and addressing critical changes to inform and adapt the ongoing care plan. Additionally, the nurse will manage and effectively alleviate patient pain and discomfort, employing evidence-based techniques to promote comfort and optimize the healing process. Upholding the highest standards of patient safety by rigorously following all aseptic and sterile techniques is crucial, ensuring a clean and infection-free recovery environment. The nurse will also anticipate case-specific patient needs by applying expert knowledge of surgical procedures and patient pathophysiology to ensure proactive, seamless care delivery.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
