About The Position
Provide specialized nursing care for anesthetized patients in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural recovery period. Adhere strictly to AORN and ASPAN standards, maintaining aseptic sterile technique throughout all patient interventions. Continuously assess patient responses to treatments, manage acute post-surgical pain, and evaluate overall recovery progress. Anticipate case-specific complications and needs based on thorough knowledge of surgical procedures and underlying pathophysiology.
Requirements
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Graduate of a Registered Nursing program required.
- One year of experience as a Staff Registered Nurse is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a critical care or PACU setting is preferred.
- BLS and ACLS
- one year adult ICU experience
