About The Position

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at Seashore Surgical Institute. The role involves assessing patients throughout their episode of care, developing individualized perianesthesia plans of care, and providing accurate, concise, and pertinent hand-off reports to teammates about patient condition and response to care. The RN may also perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice in good standing.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment, or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
• Successful completion of an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course within 90 days of employment, or documentation of current ACLS certification.
• If pediatric care is included in the facility’s scope of services, successful completion of a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course within 90 days of employment, or documentation of current PALS certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of PACU experience.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing or Perianesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient status throughout the episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perianesthesia plan of care.
• Provide accurate, concise, and pertinent hand-off reports to teammates about the patient’s condition and response to care.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
