Procedures include vasectomies, orchiectomies, cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, administration of intravesical chemotherapy, etc. While urology experience is preferred it is not required. Applicant must have a strong ability to anticipate patient and provider needs. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with a diverse patient population, including those seeking gender-affirming procedures, sexual health issues and cancer. Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • An Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
  • An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.

Nice To Haves

  • Urology experience is preferred.
  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
  • Anticipate patient and provider needs.
  • Work with a diverse patient population, including those seeking gender-affirming procedures, sexual health issues and cancer.
  • Perform procedures such as vasectomies, orchiectomies, cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, and administration of intravesical chemotherapy.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of procedures for performing functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
  • Understand the legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
