Requirements
- Minimum of one year of RN experience.
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- An Associates of Nursing (ASN).
- Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
Nice To Haves
- Urology experience is preferred.
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Two years experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate a number of functions for a group of patients in an effective timely manner.
- Anticipate patient and provider needs.
- Work with a diverse patient population, including those seeking gender-affirming procedures, sexual health issues and cancer.
- Perform procedures such as vasectomies, orchiectomies, cystoscopies, prostate biopsies, and administration of intravesical chemotherapy.
- Demonstrate knowledge of procedures for performing functions appropriate to the specific clinical area and familiarity with designated pieces of equipment and supplies.
- Understand the legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
