About the unit: Join a nationally recognized team at the IU Health University Urology clinic, a leader in advanced bladder, prostate, and testis cancer treatment. Our nurses are the heart of our practice, providing compassionate, clinically excellent care to every patient. This fast-paced outpatient role is a unique opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, from providing essential post-operative education and treatments to handling procedures and telephone triage. You'll be crucial in educating and supporting patients to meet their specific needs. Nursing skills gained: Procedural involvement and skills pertaining to all procedures performed. Requirements

  • Associates of Nursing (ASN)
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
