The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. This position may perform duties associated with symptom-management, direct in-clinic patient care, and/or telehealth patient care and quality improvement activities. Administrative Triage RN position primarily based out of our Methodist Medical Plaza Eagle Highlands. This position will support our Clinic located on the Westside of Indianapolis as a virtual float. This is mainly a non-patient facing role that also provides education in Clinic as well as injections for an experienced RN that enjoys collaboration with physicians to care for patients that need triaged and medication and supply refills. Experience with Prior Authorizations and insurance as well as pharmacy management is ideal. Must have excellent spoken and written communication skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of RN experience.
  • Associates of Nursing (ASN).
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. (Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).)
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Experience with Prior Authorizations and insurance.
  • Experience with pharmacy management.
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
