Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse - A4 Cardiac Telemetry - FT Night Shift
About The Position
The A4 Cardiac Telemetry unit is a 38-bed unit serving patients who need cardiac care, including patients with CHF and chest pain, patients with pacemakers, patients recovering after cardiac catheterization procedures, patients undergoing bedside cardioversions, and cardiac research patients. Nurses work in a supportive, team-oriented environment and are recognized as clinical experts, mentors, educators, and patient advocates. Nursing practice emphasizes professional development, participation in clinical decision-making, and improving quality of work life. The role is based at Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan; graduate nurses and new RNs are accepted.
- Employees must be vaccinated or have lab-confirmed immunity for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella.
- Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year they are hired and annually thereafter, or have an approved medical or religious exemption.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a relevant clinical area is preferred; examples listed include Med/Surg, ICU, and OB.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients on the A4 Cardiac Telemetry unit.
- Care for patients with CHF, chest pain, pacemakers, post-cardiac-catheterization recovery needs, and bedside cardioversion needs, as well as cardiac research patients.
- Participate in clinical decision-making and contribute to improving the quality of nursing practice.
