About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) for a 13-week travel assignment in Glens Falls, NY. This position involves providing surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgery. Responsibilities include patient assessment, maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment, pre and post-operative patient education, monitoring patient well-being, and coordinating care. The role primarily involves circulating duties, with scrub experience being a valuable additional skill. The patient population includes pediatric to adult, and the operating rooms cover all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology. The assignment is for a 13-week contract with day shifts.

Requirements

2+ years of current OR experience
Float experience to vascular, ortho, trauma, gen surg, Robot, urology, ENT
Travel experience
EPIC experience
BLS and ACLS
Scrub and Circulate experience
Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle.
Must have and maintain current ACLS
Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
Drug screen and background check (facility required)

Offer the skills needed to provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery.
Patient assessment.
Creating and maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment.

Monitoring the patient's physical and emotional well-being.
Integrating and coordinating patient care throughout the surgical care continuum.
Strong skills in vascular surgery and orthopedic surgery are a must.
Primarily circulating position.
