About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) for a 13-week travel assignment in Glens Falls, NY. The position involves providing surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during, and after surgery. Activities include patient assessment, maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment, pre and post-operative patient education, monitoring patient well-being, and coordinating care. The role is primarily a circulating position, with scrub experience being a valuable additional skill. The patient population includes Pediatric-Adult, and the operating rooms cover all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology. The facility requires EPIC EMR experience and has on-call requirements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of current OR experience.
  • Float experience to vascular, ortho, trauma, gen surg, Robot, urology, ENT.
  • Travel experience.
  • EPIC experience.
  • BLS and ACLS.
  • Scrub and Circulate experience.
  • Must have their own vehicle.
  • Must have and maintain current ACLS.
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Complete additional facility onboarding forms as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Scrub experience would be a great additional skill to have.

Responsibilities

  • Offer the skills needed to provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery.

  • Integrating and coordinating patient care throughout the surgical care continuum.

  • Participate in on-call requirements (1 call per month if needed).
