About The Position

The registered nurse is an experienced nurse who shall orient new staff, precept students, and assume relief charge nurse duty as oriented and assigned. Must possess current acute care hospital Operating Room scrub and circulating experience within the past 5 years. Willingness and ability to be on-call on a rotational basis as scheduled and to respond within 30 minutes of call-back communication is essential.

Requirements

• Current acute care hospital Operating Room scrub and circulating experience within the past 5 years
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a licensed RN, in the Main Operating Room (School clinical placements do not count towards this)
• NCLEX
• VisaScreen (If you do not have this, please apply at www.cgfns.org unless you are American)
• CPR
• NRP
• A minimum of 1 year of current O.R. experience is required
• Knowledge of hemodynamics and basic IV skills
• Thorough understanding of fetal monitoring equipment and tracings
• Excellent assessment skills
• Above average critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced often stressful environment
• Ability to work autonomously

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors preferred
• ACLS preferred
