About The Position

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of circulator experience in the intraoperative setting to join our Operating Room team. This role involves providing care to a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics, across various surgical specialties. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Epic and Pyxis systems and able to work a rotating schedule that includes some extended hours and holidays as needed. This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation package.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1 year of operating room circulator experience in the intraoperative setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Proficiency in Epic and Pyxis systems.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes rotating shifts (6:30 am-3 pm and 8:30 am-5 pm) and potentially extended hours.
• Willingness to work holidays as assigned.
• Ability to work 72 hours in a two-week period, with one day off every other week.
• Must be able to work a maximum of 7 days off request (RTO).
• Must be compliant with all facility requirements to start on time.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with specialties such as Retina surgery, total hip/knees, Hand surgery, breast oncology, breast reconstruction, ENT, Lap Chole, Hernia repairs, and Podiatry.
• Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Circulate in the operating room for a variety of surgical procedures.
• Provide care to patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Work with specialties including Retina surgery, total hip/knees, Hand surgery, breast oncology, breast reconstruction, ENT, Lap Chole, Hernia repairs, and Podiatry.
• Manage patient care in a unit with a 1:4 ratio and an average daily census of 18 across 5 rooms.
• Utilize Epic and Pyxis systems for patient care documentation and medication management.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures, including scrub color guidelines.
• Potentially stay over shift based on the number of active operating rooms.
• Work holidays as assigned based on the number of major holidays falling within the assignment period.
• Maintain full compliance with all required pre-employment screenings and orientations.
• Participate in clinical review and manager interviews for final decision.
