About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The unit has a diverse patient population with experience needed in ortho-total joint and trauma, Neuro, GYN/Urology, Vascular, and Thoracic surgical procedures. This is a non-local position, and minimal RTO is preferred. Call is required.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Operating Room.
• Competency in phlebotomy.
• Competency in placing IVs.
• Experience in ortho-total joint and trauma.
• Experience in Neuro surgery.
• Experience in GYN/Urology surgery.
• Experience in Vascular surgery.
• Experience in Thoracic surgery.
• Ability to take call.
• Minimal RTO restrictions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Da Vinci Xi Surgical System.
• EPIC preferred.
• First-time travelers are not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform general OR procedures.
• Assist in specialized surgeries including bariatric, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, neuro, GYN/Urology procedures.
• Administer blood and blood products.
• Perform phlebotomy.
• Place IVs.
• Respond to codes.
• Adhere to fire safety, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, and universal protocol procedures.
• Handle specimen collection and labeling.
• Perform urinary bladder catheterization.
