About The Position
SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide perioperative care at Tinley Woods Surgery Center. The RN assesses patients throughout the perioperative episode, develops individualized perioperative plans of care, and participates in planning care as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role supports SCA Health’s mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing.
- Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
- Complete the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current ACLS certification.
- Complete the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current PALS certification when pediatric care is included in the facility scope of services.
Nice To Haves
- One year of OR and/or medical/surgical nursing experience.
- Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
- Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
- Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
- Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
