Providence Health Care, in partnership with BCIT, is offering fully funded perioperative education for nurses interested in a career in the Operating Room (OR). This includes 100% coverage of tuition and textbooks, and paid wages at 100% of the posted FTE for eligible program components. Upon completing the program, you'll receive a Perioperative Nursing Certificate (AORN) and begin working as an OR Registered Nurse at St. Paul's Hospital. Participants in the program must commit to 18 months of full-time service with PHC after completing the program. The program has specific phases: Phase 1: Theory (Pre-requisite courses by distance, unpaid, January 4th to March 26th, 2027), PHC Orientation (New Employee and General Nursing Orientation, paid, March 8th to March 12th, 2027), and Phase 2: Compressed Time Frame (CTF) Classroom/Clinical (paid, April 5th to July 23rd, 2027). As a Staff Nurse, you'll be at the forefront of patient care, working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure patients/residents receive comprehensive support.
