About The Position

SCA Health is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room at Charleston Surgery Center. The role supports perioperative care and contributes to SCA Health’s mission, vision, and values. The RN assesses patients throughout the perioperative episode, develops individualized perioperative plans of care, and participates in a multidisciplinary team responsible for planning patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.
• Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current BLS certification.
• Complete an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current ACLS certification.
• When pediatric care is included in the facility’s scope of services, complete a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course within 90 days of employment or provide documentation of current PALS certification.

Nice To Haves

• One year of operating room and/or medical-surgical nursing experience.
• Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
• Assess patient status throughout the perioperative episode of care.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Serve as a member of a multidisciplinary team in planning perioperative patient care.
