The Operating Room at Frye Regional Medical Center features 13 Operating Rooms and typically handles 15-30 cases per day. The surgical services include General, Bariatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neurosurgery (craniotomies, stimulators and carpal tunnel), Orthopedic (Total joints, sports medicine, some trauma), Ortho/Neuro Spine, Ear, Nose and Throat, Podiatry, Endoscopy, Interventional Pulmonology, Plastics, Urology, Vascular which includes Endovascular, Oculoplastic and Dental, C-Sections for L&D, and Open Heart.

Requirements

Current state RN license
Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years previous OR required
Bachelors degree preferred but not required
ACLS and PALS preferred
One-year previous experience preferred

Responsibilities

Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
