Cancer Care Northwest/Inner Pacific Alliance for Cancer Care is seeking a Full-time Registered Nurse - 32 hours per week.

Requirements

  • be a graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education
  • have current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state
  • have current BCLS certification
  • have current ACLS certification (role specific)
  • experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment of cancer
  • maintain continuing education requirements

  • current or pending Oncology Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • The radiation oncology staff nurse is responsible and accountable for the nursing care provided to an assigned caseload of patients treated with radiation therapy in the radiation therapy department.
  • The radiation oncology nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of patients in the radiation oncology department.
  • The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential.
  • The radiation oncology nurse is responsible for patient education, physical assessment, nutrition counseling and assisting physicians with exams and procedures.
  • Participates in companywide quality initiatives.
  • Supports and adheres to the Cancer Care Northwest Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
