About The Position
The Oncology Registered Nurse performs as a staff nurse/RN in a medical oncology office and infusion area. The San Juan Cancer Center opened its doors on April 3, 2006, providing state-of-the-art cancer care closer to home for residents of a seven-county area in southwestern Colorado. The facility is an unqualified success, exceeding projections for the number of patients seen to date and surpassing the expectations of those who enter its doors for treatment. Here, cancer patients and their families have access to the best of both worlds: small-town warmth and big-city expertise. Personalized care in a friendly, caring atmosphere is coupled with an outstanding, dedicated and experienced staff and state-of-the-art technology.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Colorado RN license.
- BLS Certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in inpatient medical nursing, oncology nursing, medical office nursing, chemotherapy administration, and venipuncture preferred.
- Preference for OCN and ONS Chemotherapy Administration Certification.
