About The Position

As a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Liberty, NC. The scheduled hours are Monday-Friday, 10:00PM - 6:30AM. If you enjoy working independently and thrive during overnight hours, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while maintaining a consistent weekday schedule.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse
  • Experience in occupational health
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, CDC regulations
  • Ability to perform medical tests, screenings, and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
  • Proficiency in administering medications and emergency care
  • Familiarity with infection control procedures
  • Skill in maintaining accurate patient health records
  • Ability to educate patients on health promotion and follow-up care
  • Collaboration skills with healthcare professionals and company departments
  • Assistance with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
  • Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
  • Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
  • Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
  • Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
  • Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
  • Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
  • Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
  • Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned
