About The Position

Premise Health is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health to provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in High Point, NC. This role offers the opportunity to practice with independence, make clinical decisions, respond to workplace injuries and illnesses, and provide care with a high level of autonomy. The position allows for building expertise in occupational health, emergency response, work-related injuries, OSHA programs, and employee wellness, making a direct impact on the workforce served. The scheduled hours are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 5:00p - 5:00a, offering a consistent three 12-hour shifts with four days off each week.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse license
  • Experience in occupational health, emergency response, work-related injuries, OSHA programs, and employee wellness
  • Ability to make clinical decisions and respond to workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Proficiency in performing and documenting medical tests, screenings, and treatments (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
  • Knowledge of administering medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
  • Ability to maintain medical equipment, ensure a clean and safe environment, and follow infection control procedures
  • Skill in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient health records
  • Ability to educate patients on health promotion and participate in follow-up care

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
  • Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
  • Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
  • Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
  • Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
  • Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
  • Performs other duties as assigned
