About The Position

This is a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health position located at the Cedar Rapids, IA Health Center, supporting Collins Aerospace. The scheduled hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm. Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN)
Licensed to practice as an RN in the state of Iowa
Experience in occupational health or a related field
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and CDC regulations
Proficiency in performing medical tests and screenings (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
Ability to administer medications and emergency care
Strong record-keeping and documentation skills
Excellent patient education and communication skills
Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals and company departments

Nice To Haves

Experience with case management and TPA coordination
Familiarity with transitional duty programs
Experience in accident investigations and workplace safety initiatives

Responsibilities

Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
Performs other duties as assigned
