About The Position

This is a Full Time Registered Nurse, Occupational Health position located at the Cedar Rapids, IA Health Center, supporting Collins Aerospace. The scheduled hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Licensed to practice as an RN in the state of Iowa
  • Experience in occupational health or a related field
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and CDC regulations
  • Proficiency in performing medical tests and screenings (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
  • Ability to administer medications and emergency care
  • Strong record-keeping and documentation skills
  • Excellent patient education and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals and company departments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with case management and TPA coordination
  • Familiarity with transitional duty programs
  • Experience in accident investigations and workplace safety initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations and manages required physical evaluations (OSHA, DOT, CDC, etc.)
  • Evaluates, treats, and prioritizes patient care within the scope of practice
  • Delivers evidence-based care to injured workers, accelerates return to work, and coordinates case management with the TPA and client
  • Implements and monitors transitional duty programs for injured workers
  • Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
  • Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
  • Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
  • Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
  • Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
  • Collaborates with healthcare professionals and resources, and company departments on health programs and injury prevention
  • Assists with accident investigations, return-to-work programs, and workplace safety initiatives
  • Performs other duties as assigned
