About The Position

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to client employees at their Health Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. The nurse will be part of a collaborative clinical team focused on delivering exceptional care and a positive patient experience. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., offering a consistent daytime schedule. Premise Health's mission is to help people get, stay, and be well.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required
• Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice
• Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed
• Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision)
• Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice
• Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care
• Performs other duties as assigned
