About The Position
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Nursery and Postpartum unit, working full-time, 36 hours per week, on the night shift (1900-0730) with weekend rotation. The role involves floating to the Post-Partum Evanston Hospital as needed. The nurse will independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care, utilize the nursing process, guide assistive personnel, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a high-quality patient experience.
Requirements
- Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
- BSN strongly preferred
- BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (American Heart Association)
- Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
- 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year nursery /post-partum experience preferred

Responsibilities
- Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the Pediatric Unit
- Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
- Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
- Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
- Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
