About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery and Post-Partum at Highland Park, IL. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with night shifts from 1900 to 0730, including weekend rotation. On-call duties are per unit requirements, with 12 hours per 6-week schedule. The nurse will also float to Post-Partum Evanston Hospital as required. The primary responsibility is to independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the LDRP, utilizing the nursing process for patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role involves guiding unlicensed assistive personnel, collaborating with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care, and contributing positively to safety outcomes and patient experience.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
  • BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (American Heart Association)
  • Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
  • 1 year of acute care nursing experience or 1 year labor and delivery/post-partum experience preferred
