Registered Nurse - NICU

About The Position

This is a three-month NICU travel nursing contract in West Hollywood, California. The registered nurse will provide clinical nursing care in a Level III NICU. The position is onsite and scheduled for night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, from 19:00 to 7:30. Weekend rotation, holiday coverage, and floating to Peds, PICU, and the Newborn Nursery (postpartum, infants only) are required. No on-call work is required. Scheduling requests or requests for time off are not permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. Christmas time off is not available; Thanksgiving time off may be considered with final director approval. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available. An active California RN license is required at submission; pending licenses are not accepted. Flu vaccination is required, with no declinations.

Requirements

Active California RN license at time of submission; pending licenses are not accepted.
BLS certification.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
PALS certification.
At least 2 years of NICU RN experience.
NICU Level III experience.
First-time travelers are accepted with 3 years of NICU experience.
Flu vaccination is required; no declinations.
Authorization to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is unavailable.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical nursing care in a Level III NICU setting.
Rotate every other weekend as required.
Float to Peds, PICU, and the Newborn Nursery (postpartum, infants only) as needed.
Provide holiday coverage as required.
Adhere to facility scheduling requirements, including no scheduling requests or time off during the first two weeks of the assignment.
