About The Position

This role involves providing for patient needs using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), organizing and supervising care provided by supportive personnel, and coordinating care with ancillary services. It also includes educating patients and their families about their condition and care plan, serving as a patient advocate, and providing care for patients with various medical, surgical, or other conditions, including chronic illnesses and minor injuries. Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care experience.

Requirements

• Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice To Haves

• Associate of Science in Nursing
• 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
• Hospital Experience
• Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
• Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
• Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
• Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
• Act as the patient advocate
• Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
