About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Neuro ICU team. This is a travel nurse position with a day/night rotation, requiring every other weekend availability. The schedule involves 3x12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours. On-call duties are required, and the patient ratio is estimated at 1:1-2. Flexibility is key, as floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity may be necessary. This position requires 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and specific certifications including BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA Certifications only). Essential skills include IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, and intracranial pressure monitoring. Epic EHR experience is preferred. Travelers will have various parking permit options available for purchase through CampusParc.

Requirements

• 2 years of Neuro ICU Experience
• BCLS certification
• ACLS certification

• IV Start skills
• Telemetry skills
• Ventilator management skills
• Intracranial Pressure Monitoring skills
• Epic EHR experience

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neuro ICU setting.
• Manage patients with neurological conditions requiring intensive care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and neurological status.
• Operate and manage ventilators and other critical care equipment.
• Perform IV starts and manage central lines.
• Monitor intracranial pressure.
• Participate in on-call duties.
• Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
