About The Position
The Neuro ICU is a 12-bed critical care unit providing intensive management to patients with life-threatening neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Cases typically seen in this practice area include central nervous system tumors, complex spine surgery, acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, endovascular interventions, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular diseases, status epilepticus, and central nervous system infections.
Requirements
- BLS required
- ACLS required
- NIH stroke cert required (can submit with pending)
- Epic experience required
- Can submit with VA license pending
Responsibilities
- Provide intensive management to patients with life-threatening neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
- Manage cases including central nervous system tumors, complex spine surgery, acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, endovascular interventions, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular diseases, status epilepticus, and central nervous system infections.
- Adhere to UVA's float policy.
