About The Position

This position is posted as MS Tele due to the EKG requirement for all RNs and the tele-capable unit. The patient population will be primarily Medical-Surgical (MS). The role involves caring for observation patients, patients with respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, palliative, end-of-life, hospice patients, psychiatric observation, diabetes management (including new diabetics and those with complications), and surgical patients (including surgical observation). The nurse will be expected to float if needed and all travelers are subject to floating across all Cone Health facilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• BLS required.
• Must pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
• Proficiency in EPIC.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Charge RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for observation patients.
• Manage patients with respiratory conditions and/or problems.
• Care for patients with general medical-surgical diagnoses.
• Provide care for palliative, end-of-life, and hospice patients.
• Handle psychiatric observation patients.
• Manage patients with diabetes, including new diabetics and those with complications.
• Care for surgical patients and surgical observation patients.
• Float to other units as needed.
• Float across all Cone Health facilities as a traveler.
